Module 1: Create your M.A.P.
Whether it is an audience of one, 10 or 100, the goal in communication is to lead the audience to a place greater understanding and clarity regarding the topic at hand. However, before a speaker can lead their audience to that destination, they need a M.A.P., that is, they need to understand their Message, the Audience and the Purpose of their communication.
In this Module, participants learn how creating a M.A.P. impacts their communication.
They will be able to distill the overall message they want to convey, gain clarity on their audience; who they are and what they need, and decide on their purpose.
Module 2: Craft your Story
It has been scientifically proven that audiences are more likely to understand content, remember messages and take action when information is shared in story format or supported with stories. In addition, the speaker’s personal story is more compelling and creates more connection with an audience than a listing of degrees and accomplishments.
In this module, participants will learn the impact of stories, how to craft stories and how to weave those stories into their content. They will also learn how to craft their own personal story for greater connection with their audiences.
Module 3: Construct your Presentation
Regardless of how important it might be, if the shared information it is not structured and delivered well it will lead to confusion and disengagement.
In this Module, Participants will learn a simple format for creating and presenting a talk that is clear, concise and easy for an audience to follow. They will also learn tips for creating visual presentations to enhance their presentations.
Module 4: Captivate your audience
Many subject matter experts struggle with nervousness and lack of confidence when sharing their talk. Adding to that is the issue of technology. This combination will cause a gap in audience engagement and understanding. Proper rehearsal with content and technology is the best was to increase confidence and connection.
In this Module, participants will learn content and technology rehearsal techniques that will increase their confidence around sharing their talk.
Module 5: Close the Sale
At the end of the day, you are speaking and presenting in order to move our audience into action. That action might be to hire you, donate to your non-profit or change thinking or behavior.
